Timothy Paek, cellist, is currently pursuing a Performance Diploma in cello performance at the Carnegie Mellon University. He received his M.M degree from Cleveland Institute of Music and his B.M degree from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His primary teachers include Dr. Melissa Kraut, Gregory Beaver of the Chiara String Quartet, Andre Emelianoff, and Jerome Carrington. Timothy has participated in masterclasses for distinguished artists such as Peter Salaff, Ronald Copes, Joel Krosnick, and Roger Tapping. He has performed in Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, the New York City Opera, the Lied Center of Performing Arts, and Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium and Weill Recital Hall. Aside from music, Timothy loves cooking mainly Korean, Italian, and American cuisines. He also enjoys basketball, baseball, frisbee, soccer, hiking, dancing, and playing his favorite board game, Pictionary.
